Recovery in Community...
The Amazing Place in Upland is a clubhouse for consumers of mental health services by the county and in the community. It operates under the recovery model, which is "consumers helping consumers." Consumers run the majority of groups because it is believed that we help ourselves by helping others. We have a consumer-appointed Governing Board (Client Council) to provide direction and support for the consumer-members at weekly Board and Community meetings, and whenever the need arises during the course of a week. We have bylaws and rules that help keep the club members safe.
Here at Amazing Place we strive to offer a warm, safe environment for consumers to relax, drink coffee, attend groups and grow and recover.
